Weekend Picks: Cherry Blossom Festival, First Friday, 76ers Basketball And More

Enjoy the first full weekend in April with these fun places to go and things to see...

We’ve made it to another weekend, Philadelphia — and this one is packed with great things to do.

One of the biggest spring festivals of the year, the Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival, kicks off this Saturday. Celebrate the beauty and splendor of Japan’s cultural traditions and rich history with a Sake Garden (!) at the Shofuso Japanese House and Garden, sushi-making classes, taiko drum performances and more.

First Friday is here, which means awesome social events at major museums like the Barnes Foundation and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

And the Philadelphia 76ers have finally locked in a playoff spot and have two big games against the Cleveland Cavaliers and Dallas Mavericks this weekend at the Wells Fargo Center to help them prepare for the postseason.
