Weekend Picks: Philadelphia Science Festival, Morgan’s Pier, Independence Beer Garden And Much More

Enjoy this packed spring weekend in the City of Brotherly Love with our complete guide...

Philadelphia, get excited: This weekend, we’ve got openings (and reopenings!), anniversary weekend celebrations, massive spring fests, restaurant weeks, Earth Day get-togethers, sporting events and much more.

The Philadelphia Science Festival is back for more another year of super-fun, science-based programming. More than a dozen events (many of them free!) go down this weekend, including the Citywide Star Party and the Fishtown Science Crawl.

The Museum of American Revolution celebrates its first anniversary with special museum tours and a cake shaped like George Washington’s war tent (!) while the Penn Museum reopens its Middle East Galleries with a festival featuring film screenings, discussion sessions, live performances and more.

Spring openings abound, including opening weekend for the Delaware River waterfront-based Morgan’s Pier, a preview weekend for Independence Beer Garden in the Historic District and the first full weekend of the exciting Modern Times exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
