Weekend Picks: Italian Market Fest, Rittenhouse Row Spring Fest, Free Museum Admission And More

It's the biggest weekend of the spring here in Philadelphia...

It’s going to be a super-fun weekend, Philly.

The big story over the next couple days: spring street festivals. Five massive fests (!) hit the region on Saturday and/or Sunday, including the Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival and the two-day South 9th Street Italian Market Festival. Also on tap: Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby and Arts Festival, Chestnut Hill Home & Garden Festival and New Hope Celebrates PrideFest.

Over at the waterfront, Spruce Street Harbor Park offers its bright lights, comfortable hammocks, great food and more for another spring weekend, while Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest puts on another preview weekend with carnival games, summer eats, an outdoor roller rink, a Ferris wheel and more.

And University City’s popular 40th Street Summer Series is back! Enjoy live music from two headliners: West Philadelphia Orchestra and Dan Blacksberg’s Hot Klezmers. Guests also get to stay cool with free Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.
