Enjoy one of 90 great things to do this weekend, including dozens of free Wawa Welcome America events...

Philadelphia, get ready for an epic pre-July 4th weekend.

Independence Day may not be until Wednesday, but Philadelphia’s weeklong Wawa Welcome America July 4th celebration has already begun. More than 30 FREE events go down this weekend, including food festivals, outdoor movie screenings (including Rocky on the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art!) and music fests.

Score free or pay-what-you-wish admission at nearly a dozen museums and attractions — including the Barnes Foundation, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, the Penn Museum and more — as part of the Wawa Welcome America’s Free Museum Day programming.

And Saturday brings the annual U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own” performance at Penn’s Landing, followed by the highly anticipated fireworks show over the Delaware River at 9:30 p.m. (Scope out a great fireworks-viewing spot with our guide.)

Can’t get enough fireworks? The Phillies’ three-game series against the Washington Nationals includes brilliant fireworks shows after the games on Friday and Saturday.
