Weekend Picks: XPoNential Music Festival, The Oval+, East Passyunk Avenue Car Show And More

Our guide to more than 65 fun things to do this weekend from South Philly to the Parkway...

Summer’s in full swing in Philly, bringing tons of great stuff to get into throughout the city and the region this weekend.

WXPN’s three-day XPoNential Music Festival — one of the biggest annual music fests in the area — returns once again to Camden, New Jersey with performances from more than 35 artists, including David Byrne (of the Talking Heads), The War on Drugs, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Sylvan Esso, Margo Price and more.

Over in South Philly, nearly 200 hot wheels and amazing automobiles are on full display for Sunday’s East Passyunk Avenue Car Show and Street Festival, which also features tasty bites and live entertainment.

Opposite the Philadelphia Museum of Art on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, warm-weather park The Oval+ continues a month-long takeover of Eakins Oval with a beer garden, activities, games and more fun things in the heart of the city.

And The Bard of Avon’s Twelfth Night gets the glam-rock treatment all weekend long during free performances in Spruce Hill during Shakespeare in Clark Park.
