Weekend Picks: Fringe Festival, First Friday, Brazilian Day, Kennett Square Mushroom Festival And More

Get excited for more than 65 awesome events in Philly this weekend...

Quirky food festivals, cutting-edge art shows, major sporting events and more await this weekend in Philadelphia.

Dozens of captivating theater, dance and comedy shows continue during the first full weekend of the 2018 Fringe Festival, including a large-scale 150-person dance extravaganza (Le Super Grand Continental) outside the Philadelphia Museum of Art on both Saturday and Sunday.

Food lovers have a bevy of fun events to choose from, including the Kennett Square Mushroom Festival, the Philadelphia Honey Festival, Distrito’s 10th Anniversary Street Festival, the Philadelphia Pizza Festival and the Philadelphia Pickle Festival. Yum.

Plus, the PECO Multicultural Series hosts a celebration of Brazilian independence during Brazilian Day at the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing, featuring tasty traditional foods and performances of samba, forro and more.

Also on tap: the final three days of major golf event the BMW Championship in Newtown Square, First Friday events, a free concert from The Philadelphia Orchestra at Penn’s Landing and much more.
