In the days leading up to and on Halloween, tons of Philly’s favorite museums, restaurants, bars and venues host parties, bar crawls, concerts, open-bar bashes and more for creatively costumed crowds.

Popular spooky soirees returning this year include Mischief at the Mütter at the Mütter Museum (Friday, October 26), the TJ Kong Halloween Murdershow at Underground Arts (Saturday, October 27) and Henri David’s Halloween The Ball at Philadelphia 201 Hotel (Wednesday, October 31).

Halloween Bar Crawls

A handful of scary good bar crawls go down in Philly for the Halloween season. The Brews & Broomsticks Pub Crawl kicks off the Witches & Wizards festival weekend in Chestnut Hill with pay-as-you-go food and drink specials at 10 participating bars and restaurants and tons of entertainment along Germantown Avenue. Over in Old City, seven bars and restaurants participate in Bar Crawl Nation’s Philadelphia Halloween Bar Crawl, while 17 East Passyunk spots are on the list for the neighborhood’s annual Witch CRAFT Beer Crawl. The Devil's Crawl gets ticket holders into more than 50 (!) places across the city for no cover charge all night and Elite Bar Crawl’s Boos & Brews Halloween Bar Crawl leads guests from bar to bar using an LED bracelet that blinks when it’s time to head to the next venue and score more drink deals.

8th Annual Monsters Ball Masquerade at XIX at The Bellevue Hotel

Guests dress to impress in cocktail attire and decorative masks to mix and mingle at the annual Monsters Ball Masquerade, located at XIX at the Bellevue Hotel. The event is open bar and food is included with the ticket. All proceeds support the preservation and restoration of the iconic Academy of Music.

Halloween at Xfinity Live! Philadelphia

The Xfinity Live! complex hosts two Halloween events this season in South Philly. Wicked: 5 Evil Parties Under One Roof (Friday, October 26) promises guests different entertaining experiences at all five of the complex’s venues plus drink specials and costume contests with over $2,500 in cash and prizes. The next night, the Nightmare on Broad Street Halloween Bash (Saturday, October 27) features a live performance from local band Split Decision, karaoke and more cash and prizes for the best costumes in the crowd.

The Friends of Laurel Hill Cemetery presents their Halloween-themed annual fundraising gala at the Masonic Temple in Center City. Along with an open bar, hors d’oeuvres and dinner stations, the night features live entertainment, dancing, a raffle, a silent auction and more. Black-tie, masquerade or costumed attire is encouraged with awards going out to attendees with the best costumes.

4th Annual Mischief at the Mütter
